The gift of Meaning..... Baby Blanket

This is not just another blanket :)
It will serve a very important purpose after Christmas.  My 6 month old will be having surgery in January so when I was thinking about things I would need at the hospital for her recovery a blanket came to mind.  Something that I could wrap her up in as we rock in the rocking chair.  Since she is not our first born, she doesn't have a blanket that was made just for her so that is why I decided to make this her Gift of Meaning for Christmas this year.  A blanket of her very own is perfect!!

When I saw this cute animal print I thought it was too perfect for our "teeny tiny."
 It was simple:
1 1/2 yards of two different coordinating fabrics.
1 package of crib size batting.
Put your fabrics together, right sides together, then the batting on top.  Sew around all the edges, leaving an opening large enough to then turn the blanket right sides out.  Then simply sew around the whole blanket, sewing the opening closed and then tie the blanket with yarn.
I can't wait to snuggle her in this!
