"The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Bookcase Revamp.....PLAY KITCHEN part 5 of 7

Play Kitchen part 5
Burners, sink and knobs

Besides the finished kitchen, this is one of my favorite parts about the kitchen.
I am so pleased with how these parts turned out.

The burners:
coasters found at the thrift store (6 for $1.50)
And knobs: ($1.00 each at Michaels)
The sink:
($1 store bowl, faucet is plumbing stuff from Lowes $3.00)
Here is the before and after of the coaters I found at the thrift store.  I am still in awe about just how perfect they were for the burners.  All I did was paint the circles to look like coils.  Then I glued them down with E600 to the shelf.  The knobs were perfect also, they came with all the hardware and they even turn!!
The kitchen is finished!!! My goal was to find and use as many things at the thrift store as I could. I am soooo pleased with it. I have broken it down into 7 parts to show you some fun and easy things you can do to make your own play kitchen. Once you have found the piece of furniture you want to use (nightstand, bookcase, entertainment center) it comes together pretty fast. Just keep your eyes open for little things that will work....that was the most time comsuming part :)

for parts 1-7
