We all know that our kids hands can be very busy and hard to get a hold of sometimes.
And they grow up so fast so why not make something using their hands that you and them can enjoy for years to come.
This is what I did with my almost 3 year old daughters hands and I love how it turned out.
Made from fabric and framed in a shawdow box it sure makes for a cute shelf on her bookcase!

A wonderful idea - so many ways to preserve hands, feet, faces and silhouettes...I will never stop. :)
What a great and stunningly cute idea!! Love it. Please join me in my Valentine's Day Challenge!!!
I love this, Ithink i like it better than using the painted hands, way cute!
That is adorable! And if you did one a year, you could compile a scrapbook with them after a while!
I have to do this w/my 2 yr old grandson. Did you apply heat 'n bond (or other iron adhesive) on the fabric before tracing? Then cut out?
COLLEEN - yes I did apply heat n' bond to the fabric, traced the letters and hands, then cut them out and ironed them to the white fabric. It made it very easy :) Thanks for helping me clearify!

That's really cute! What a new and clever way to capture those sweet little handprints.
Hi! I found your blog over on My Frugal Family. Cuch a cute idea! I'm gonna have to borrow it for my little girl. I also noticed your quote at the top of your blog and the Teach Me to Walk in the Light on the bookshelf. What a coincidence! I'm LDS too. I love that I keep coming across blogs that belong to fabulous LDS moms.
found you from the frugal family party - these are really cute! i might have to do this!
This is DARLING! I might have to try this!

What a great & easy to put together idea. It's impossible for me to do a nice photo for the grandparents of all 3 of my kids together, but the hands would make the perfect gift!
Featuring on my blog 2/13!
And I'm soooo not crafty...did you stitch it all to some fabric? Glue it? Help! ♥
REBECCA - thanks for looking :) I used heat n bond on all of it. I decided not to stitch around the letters or the hands because they are pretty small but I did around the top part of the trees with embroidery floss. Hope thet helps!
So darling!
And my name is Elle Jane!
This is so cute! I also did a post about it on my blog: http://shelbyhascutekids.blogspot.com/2010/02/handprints.html
Thanks for sharing!
Ok so random - I just saw your link from The Girl Creative and looked through some of your older posts - this one made me stop because the name in the frame was also my Grandma's name!! She was and is my most favorite person in the world- your little girl must be special:)

So adorable! :) Little hands grow so quickly; this is wonderful!
I love this! The little trees are a cute touch.
I just love this idea! I'm featuring this tomorrow on CrazyDomestic.com!
Very cute!! Did you use hot glue or iron on?
Tracy- I used heat n bond!! It worked great :)
Absolutely LOVE this... and so many of your other ideas. :) I'm a not so crafty person, aspiring to be crafty! Is the shadow box 8x10? And... what size are the stencil letters? I searched today at our local craft store and had a hard time deciding between 1" or 2". Thanks so much!
