All I did was take my boring brown cutains and sewed a strip of fabric to the top. It really helped to update the look I was going for and it was easy and cheap to do since I already had the fabric in my stash that I bought a while back for a different project and never used it. I now know what I'll be doing to my kitchen curtains so stay tuned for that!

Wow- what a difference! I really like it!
I love this idea, and have even thought about doing it. Problem being...I'm terrified that I will cut my curtains crooked and my stripes will come out funky. Any tips? These look great!
Love them! I think I have those same brown curtains, and I can't wait to spruce up our room with this project!
CEE - Thanks! Oh and just to clarify, I too was a bit shy on cutting my curtains so I just left them as is. I made 2 strips that are about 5" wide. I measured 6" from the top of the curtain (loops not included) and pinned the strip all the way across then sewed. This was much easier and it matched up well. Hope that helps :) Good luck and I'd give it a try it's worth it!
Looks awesome, I thought about doing that to laylas curtains, but never did, may have to try it now!
That's Awesome! Now I know what to do with my boring black out curtains :)
Those look great! :) It really adds a lot. I also couldn't help noticing the art above your bed! I like it. p.s. I also wanted to ask you, where did you find your button for mormon.org? I'm trying to find one, but can't. Did you just make it yourself?
