I finally got it done...not that it was hard to make but that darn morning sickness thing that kicks in every time I wanted to sit down and work on it. No matter the time of day!!
I love how it turned out!
Found this great free printable (and the idea behind my calendar) to mod podge to the inside of the cups. The words to Santa Claus is Coming to Town is revealed as you count down the days.
I found the containers at my Local Craft store, covered them with colored card stock
Glued magnets to the back, also glued a fun trinket, buttons, brads and tied ribbon to the front and

That's super cute and fun. What a great idea! Found you via One Pretty Thing.
So cute! And where oh where did you get that stinkin cute metal board?! I'm pretty sure I need about 5 of those!
Found you through the Creative Chick Parade & let me tell you... I'm glad I did! This is sooo neat! I'm definitely following you :) Thanks for sharing.
Which craft store did you get those little containers? I've been to Michaels & Hobby Lobby and they don't have them. They're so cute and I wanna make them so bad!
Georges- I have seen them at michaels before...they are paper mache boxes, but if you can't find them there I found mine at a craft store here in Utah called Roberts Craft. You could try to order them through their website :) OR I have seem them done using the plastic to-go cups from resturants. So you could hit up a local resturant and see if they will sell you a few cups with the lids. Jewelry boxes is also another idea too!
Hope that helps! Good luck!
I love all the little extras you used to decorate these. I'm including this in my Friday Favorites this week!
