Halloween Silhouette Pennant Banner

What do you get when you have silhouettes of
a pumpkin and key,
a witch and a candle stick,
an owl, spider web and some bats??
 A fun Halloween Banner!
Now I just need to ask my Hot Hubby to get my heavy box of Halloween decorations out of the shed so I can decorate my mantel.  Although it does look nice hanging on our tree.
eek, I am so excited for October!
How did I make it??
I cut out 6x6 squares of neutral duck canvas (I bought mine at Joann's with a coupon)
Black Fabric paint (also found this at Joann's with a coupon)
Black bias tape
print out what ever Halloween silhouettes you like to the size of your fabric pennants. (I just googled Halloween silhouettes and found all of these) then I traced the image onto the fabric with a pencil, then painted them.  Let them dry according to the paint instructions.  Once they are dry you can sew them to your bias tape.  I sewed fun knitting twine to the top for added fun.

  7. Your banner turned out so cool! i love it! (Someday, I will have a silhouette!) My weekly linky party--One Creative Weekend--has gone spooky this week in honor of my thirteenth party. If you haven’t already, I hope you’ll visit "One Creative Weekend" on OneCreativeMommy.com (open every Fri-Wed) and link up this idea and anything else you’d like to share. (You can include non-Halloween posts as well, but feel free to link up as many Halloween-themed posts as you like.) There are two categories—one for Halloween and one for everything else.
