Creepy Witchy Banner Tutorial

Who doesn't LOVE the popular Witchy shoes bouncing around blog land?!?! I like them. a lot. I love these spiders too.
So I decided to make a witch shoe banner for Halloween this year.
I used left over scrap fabric from my
that I made last year.

Do you want to know how I did this???
Follow below:

Draw yourself a little picture of how you would like your banner to look when finished.
This will become your guide for assembly.
Draw yourself a witch shoe on card stock, cut that out and use that to trace the shoes onto fabric that has heat n bond on the wrong side of the fabric. (Remember to flip your template to get a pair of shoes.....you don't want all the same left or right shoe.  You need pairs of shoes.)  Cut the shoes out.
Next draw out a leg template onto card stock and cut that out as well.  Notice the doted line at the bottom of my template?? This is extra length that is needed to attach the leg and shoe together.  Trace the legs onto fabric that also has heat n bond, cut those out as well.
You will now take your shoe and leg and heat set them to heavy pellon (for stability). Place the leg down first, then your shoe.
Place your template next to the leg as a guide to make it so all your "legs and shoes" will be the same length.
Heat set with your iron.
Below: Look at all your legs ready to go!!!
Cut out all your legs.
If you like the spiders, I did them the same way.
OR you can purchase the Spiders in my etsy shop.
Now sew your shoes onto some ribbon and you have a very creepy witchy banner for Halloween!!
How cute is that?!?!
