Wedding Bouquet

I simply found these gerber daisy stems at my local craft store and bunched them together. (I bunched them while I was at the store to get an idea of how many I would need for the look I wanted then bought a couple extra.  The tighter the bouquet the more flowers you will need)  I then took elastics to secure the stems together, then wrapped the stems with ribbon.....very tightly.  Tide some decorative ribbon just under the blooms and let them dangle down.
Simple and elegant.
To display this at the reception I just put some glass pebbles in the bottom of a glass vase and set the bouquet in it.

Fashionable magnet board and magnets!!

Take the traditional popular magnet board and dress it up a bit.
It also makes for great home decor that is practical and functional.

This is the one I just had to make for myself......after making one for my mom for her birthday.
I love how they both turned out.
I found this fabric last summer at Ikea. I used a left over piece of fabric that I had to cover my board.
Here is the board I made for my mom for her birthday.
Again, this fabric was leftover from a previous project.
I had just enough for this and it was just so perfect for my mom.  She has already hung it up in her kitchen!!
And this is why it was so perfect for her.
I printed out pictures of her grandkids and gave her a great way to show off the kids she loves so much :)
I even made personalized magnets for her, with the names of all the grandkids.

HOW TO:
Lowes for the sheet metal $6
fabric - home decor or thicker fabric works best
letter stamps: Harbor Freight
hot glue gun to glue fabric to the sheet metal

Personalized Picture Bookmarks for Father's Day!

My husband is a lover of books......
So I took some fun pictures of our girls with funny little sayings and made them into a book mark for him.
I did 2 different sizes for his choosing.  Printed the pictures out and then had them hard laminated.
This will be a great gift that they can give their daddy :)
Happy Father's Day to all the men out there!

Pillowcase SUPER HERO CAPE!!

Find yourself an old pillowcase and make it into a SUPER HERO CAPE for your little one.  What I love most about this is, this pillowcase is from my mom's linen closet so I grew up using this pillowcase as a little girl and now my daughter is using it.....in a much more fabulous way!!

HERE IS WHAT YOU DO:
Turn your pillowcase inside out.
Cut off the closed end of your pillowcase.
Fold your pillowcase in half, then cut out your neckline. Make sure the fold is in the middle.

Open it up, then pin it, then sew it together,
Once you have sewn it, turn it right sides out and sew it for a nice finished look.
Sew on velcro or just leave it as is for tieing.
You can also add a fun detail to the back like I did.  I added her initial as well as some rick rack I already had in my stash.  I uesd the open part of the pillowcase as my guide for the rickrack and sewed it on, closing the bottom of the cape.
You can tie the cape on....
or you can use the velcro.
Not bad for a 10 minute project and endless amounts of fun for your little one.

Soda Pop BIRD FEEDER

I honestly can't remember where I found this idea but it has been GRAND!!!
Take an empty soda pop bottle, wooden spoons and bird seed and you have a fabulous bird feeder!
The birdies in our yard have been going crazy over this, just as much as my 3 year old!!
