I am loving this SWING and so is my 3 year old. With a new baby, I don't always have the patience energy to walk to the park so my cute husband and I made this swing for our front yard.
Here is what you need:
An old cupboard door (we found this at our local thrift store for $3.00)
Strong rope
drill
a tree of course :)
Drill 2 holes on each side, thread the rope through and tie a knot. Do this on both sides then tie to a tree branch.
****Since the door was slick we had to by some no tred strips to
add to the seat so she wouldn't slide off as she swung. (found this in the hardware section) WORKS GREAT!!
She swings on it everyday....several times a day.
Hope you're having a great Summer !

ReplyDeleteCupboard door, really? That's cool!
ReplyDeleteI love a tree swing. We used to have a tire swing in our backyard. Our boys loved it.

Very nice. And wide... I like how you used a cupboard door, so no cutting and edging.
